UAE expresses solidarity with India after military pilot killed in Dubai Air Show crash

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has expressed its solidarity with India following a fatal aircraft crash in Dubai on Friday, which resulted in the death of an Indian Air Force pilot participating in Dubai Airshow.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its “deepest condolences and sincere sympathies” to the pilot’s family, as well as to the government and people of India.

Earlier in the day, a Tejas fighter aircraft from India participating in the flying display at the Dubai Airshow crashed, resulting in the death of the pilot.

Relevant teams responded immediately to the incident and are currently managing the situation on-site.
