Dubai: A minor earthquake was recorded in Masafi, a small settlement in the north eastern mountainous region of the UAE, officials said on Monday.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
The 2.2 magnitude quake, measured on the Richter scale, was recorded at 3:02pm, the National Centre for Meteorology tweeted on Monday.
The UAE often experiences, without incident, small quakes in the northern stretch of the Hajar mountain range.
