Gulf News reader Thomas Vijayan, a businessman based in Dubai, translates his love for Nature into wildlife photography.
With a soft spot for big cats, especially tigers, Vijayan has followed their trail to become a regular visitor at Masai Mara, Kenya. He has also travelled to other parts of Africa, Canada, Brazil, Russia, the Amazon and various national parks of India, to capture diverse species in their original habitat.
Vijayan’s love for Nature recently led him to become a nominee for the UK-based Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015 People’s Choice Award, with his picture titled ‘Swinging time’.
The jury selected his picture as one of 25, from 42,000 entries submitted from 72 countries – they have included it in their Special Collection.
