Dubai: Four of this year’s Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Eagle Scout candidates will be implementing environmental programmes by choosing eco-friendly projects as a key part of earning the scouting’s highest rank.

The four candidates Curran Hickey, Ray Braun, Christian Hickey and Ryan Butler are aiming to earn the Eagle rank by choosing projects that are based on supporting the environment in the UAE. Two of the candidates worked closely with EcoPlastics Industries a local provider of extremely durable products made from recycled plastics, and the other two candidates focused their projects on solving more immediate issues they identified in the community such as building large benches from the recycled plastic material.
