Mahesh topped with near-perfect score; Utkarsh, Krishang secured 2nd and 3rd ranks
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG 2025 results, with Mahesh Kumar from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, emerging as the All India Topper, scoring 686 out of 720 marks. Mahesh, who had been preparing for the past three years at a reputed coaching institute in Sikar, emerged as the topper, according to IANS.
The NEET UG 2025 exam saw participation from 22.06 lakh (2.2 million) candidates. It was conducted across 5,468 centres in 552 Indian cities and 14 international locations, including Dubai, Doha, Singapore, and Kathmandu.
Female candidates continued to outnumber males, with 1.31 million women appearing for the exam, compared to 965,000 men — a consistent upward trend in female participation.
Mahesh Kumar topped the exam with a percentile score of 99.9999547, followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra. Mahesh prepared for NEET in Sikar, which is known for its competitive exam coaching institutes.
Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh claimed Rank 2, while Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra secured Rank 3. Avika Aggarwal from Delhi was the top female scorer, achieving All India Rank 5. Aashi Singh, also from Delhi, ranked 12th overall and was the second-highest female performer.
The top 10 ranks were largely secured by General category students from states including Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
Mahesh comes from a modest family — both of his parents work in government jobs. His success is credited to disciplined preparation, institutional support, and sheer perseverance. His achievement adds to Sikar’s growing reputation as a coaching hub for medical and engineering aspirants.
