FNCA lecture highlights political empowerment for students

Sharjah: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (FNCA) organised an awareness lecture on political empowerment for students of Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah.

The aim of the lecture was to highlight the programme launched by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which aims to enhance political participation in the UAE.

“The wise leadership of the country is keen to encourage young people, especially university students, because they are the ones who will achieve excellence and reach the highest global levels in the coming years,” said Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for FNCA.

Saeed Mohammad Al Ghafli, Assistant Undersecretary for FNCA in the Ministry of State for Federal National Council (FNC), stressed that FNCA is working on implementing the initiatives to promote a culture of political participation among all segments of the society.

He added that this will be done through various activities such as lectures, workshops, bulletins awareness, as well as the electronic initiatives like the electronic empowerment bulletins and interactive website.

Al Ghafli also explained that the ministry is keen to enhance the coordination between the government and the Federal National Council, and oversee the development of parliamentary life in the UAE, which is considered a key part of its strategic objectives.
