Dubai GDRFA processes 52,000 instant video calls for residency, passport services

Dubai: Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has successfully processed more than 52,000 instant video calls during the first six months of 2025.

The Instant Video Call service enables real-time communication between residents and GDRFA employees, allowing users to complete a wide range of transactions without the need to visit customer service centres in person.
The GDRFA received a total of 52,212 instant video calls in the first half of 2025, with 42,433 related to entry and residency permit services, 5,782 for establishment card services, 2,850 for financial services, and 1,147 for passport issuance services.

This innovative service not only facilitates customer procedures remotely but also empowers residents to complete their applications conveniently from home, saving time and effort for both customers and staff. It enhances overall service efficiency and contributes to faster transaction processing.

How to use the instant video call service

Visit the official GDRFA Dubai website: www.gdrfad.gov.ae

Select the “Instant Video Call” option

Log in using UAE PASS

Choose the required service

Enter applicant data (application number, mobile number, email address)

Wait for the platform to initiate the video call

Complete the service request via video interaction with a GDRFA employee

Service timings

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 7 pm

Friday: 7:30 am – 12 pm, 2:30 pm – 7 pm
