Ras Al Khaimah: A man committed suicide on Sunday evening by hanging himself with an electric cable in a building under construction in Ras Al Khaimah, Lt Col Arif Mohammad Al Kazz, Director of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said.
Al Kazz said that the body of M.M.A., 28, who was working for a construction company, was found hanging from the ceiling of the 10th floor of a building under construction.
Al Kazz said that one of the victim's colleagues had discovered the body on Sunday evening.
Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department and forensic experts inspected the scene, Al Kazz said.
Condemning such acts, Al Kazz urged people contemplating suicide to think rationally and overcome problems, rather than resort to such extreme steps.
