Public Prosecution orders arrest of group for threatening state security

Group facing charges for opposing UAE constitution and government system

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution is investigating a group of people for establishing and managing an organisation with the aim of committing crimes that harm state security.

The group is facing charges of opposing the constitution and the basic principles of the UAE ruling system, in addition to having links and affiliations to organisations with foreign agendas.

Salem Saeed Kubaish, Abu Dhabi Attorney General, said the public prosecution has ordered the arrest of the group members, and carrying out investigations with them.

The group members were arrested on order of the public prosecution, and are being held in preventive custody for investigation.

Kubaish said that investigation are underway to reveal the dimensions of the conspiracy being carried out by the suspects.
