Man performs reckless motorcycle stunts in Dubai, arrested

Dubai Police traffic patrols successfully apprehended a young man riding a motorcycle without number plates in a dangerous manner in the Al Khawaneej area, putting his life and the lives of others at risk.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, explained that on Sunday evening, traffic patrols were carrying out their duties in Al Khawaneej when they observed a motorcycle being ridden on one wheel along the Quranic Park walkway. The rider was performing stunts recklessly and dangerously.

Traffic patrols stopped the rider, impounded his motorcycle and referred him to the police station for further legal investigation.

Brigadier bin Suwaidan warned against driving vehicles or riding motorcycles without a licence, or engaging in reckless and irresponsible behaviour on the roads. He stressed that the law imposes strict penalties on offenders who endanger their own lives, the lives of others, or public and private property. Such violators face impoundment, arrest, and referral to the judiciary for legal action.

He further emphasised that Dubai Police officers will not tolerate such violations, underscoring their commitment to protecting road users.

Brigadier bin Suwaidan concluded by calling on community members to cooperate with Dubai Police and report any negative behaviours or reckless actsthrough the “Police Eye” service on the Dubai Police Smart App or via the “We Are All Police” hotline at 901.
