Driver accused of filming woman naked after sex attack
Friend charged with aiding and abetting the crime
Dubai: A driver has been accused of raping a woman, then filming her naked in a creative production company in Al Quoz.
Prosecutors charged the 28-year-old Pakistani driver, A.S., of locking the 39-year-old Filipina inside the company's premises where he removed her clothes and raped her.
He was also accused of breaching the woman's privacy by filming her naked.
Meanwhile, the woman's friend, a 26-year-old Pakistani suspect, M.Z., was accused of conspiring against 39-year-old M.V. and aiding and abetting A.S. rape her.
Innocent
"I did not rape her. It was consensual. Yes I admit that I filmed her naked," said A.S. when he defended himself before the Dubai Court of First Instance.
While defending himself before Presiding Judge Maher Salama Al Mahdi, M.Z. said: "I am innocent. I drove her with me to the company because she asked to borrow money from me. I told her that my friend could lend her some… and she accompanied me".
The court will appoint lawyers to defend the suspects when it reconvenes on June 6.
