Dubai: Dubai residents are being urged to avoid parties and weddings at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disasters Management ordered people to avoid holding parties or weddings at home with immediate effect as of Sunday March 16 until the end of the month, according to a tweet by Dubai Media Office.

The step is part of precautionary measures implemented in the country to achieve the highest level of safety in the emirate.
