Dubai: The Shangri-La hotel Qaryat Al Beri, in Abu Dhabi, may have set a record of sorts with what is being touted as the world’s most expensive Valentine’s Day package that can be had for a dizzying Dh400,000.

According to the hotel, couples will be picked up from anywhere in the Capital by a private limousine and checked-in to an exquisitely decorated Presidential Suite with fresh flowers, premium gourmet chocolates and the finest vintage bubbly, just for their pleasure. As they wait for the evening to arrive, they will also be spoiled with spa treatments including a caviar facial.

The Valentine’s dinner will see them sat at a private table on the property’s rooftop with a seven course meal including caviar, oysters and other “superior French delicacies” while being entertained by a personal magician and musician. After dessert the couple will exchange gifts with what the hotel says will be “an array of Montre Ublot and Dior couture pieces handpicked by a personal shopper.”

The evening ends with a night time helicopter ride offering you the “rare opportunity to see the capital city from on high in all its glory.”

The hotel’s general manager, Thomas Guss said his guests were used to experiencing the finer things in life so it was only natural for them to offer this. “We create the extraordinary – our guests experience the finer things in life, where money is no issue and true love is the priority. With this package, we believe we are providing an exceptional Valentine’s experience – where the happy couple can relax and have their every need attended to,” he said.
