A new resort has joined the Moroccan city of Tangier’s growing list of luxury hotels – the Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort and Spa opened last week making it the third Hilton resort in Morocco. And just like its counterparts, the Tangier resort’s location gives it an edge over the rest: the 304-room Hilton Tangier Al is circled by a protected national park, which gives vacationers direct access to 5km of pristine white sand beach and is a short drive from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport.
Located on the Strait of Gibraltar, Tangier is a port-city with plenty to offer the intrepid traveller, from culture with its Unesco heritage sights and The Kasbah (citadel), and the Hilton Tangier Al Houara resort is a great destination to explore it from. After an extensive day of sightseeing and exploring the city’s medina (Old Town) with its Portuguese history, museums such as Museum of Moroccan Arts and Antiquities and The Musée de Carmen-Macein unwind at the resort’s eforea spa, equipped with state-of-the-art treatment rooms, a beauty salon, hairdresser, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a 24/7 gym.
