Personalise your WhatsApp chats with custom sticker packs
Dubai: Meta-owned WhatsApp has introduced a much-awaited feature that allows users to create, organise, and share custom sticker packs directly within the app—removing the need for any third-party tools.
Previously, users could send custom stickers, but the process was clunky and often required external apps. With this new update, WhatsApp has made it easier for users to personalise their chats by designing sticker packs using personal images or characters—each pack being unique to the creator.
The feature is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. A pencil icon has been added to the sticker tray, alongside GIFs, avatars, and regular stickers. Tapping the icon lets users select images, compile them into custom-named packs, and share the entire pack with friends and family—making the process faster and more efficient.
How to create a sticker pack on WhatsApp:
Open the sticker section in any chat.
Tap the new pencil icon.
Choose images to turn into stickers.
Tap the three-dot menu and select "Add to sticker pack."
Name the pack—it will now appear with your other saved stickers.
Note: Only user-generated stickers can be added to these packs; official WhatsApp stickers are excluded.
In addition to sticker creation, WhatsApp has rolled out several privacy-focused updates. These include:
An online activity indicator for group chats that shows how many members are currently active.
An advanced chat privacy setting that blocks chat exports and media saving.
A new restriction that prevents Meta AI from interacting in selected conversations when privacy mode is enabled.
These additions are part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to enhance both customisation and user privacy across its platform.
