From Tate McRae to V-Rock, here is what leaked gameplay may reveal about Vice City

Spoiler warning: this article contains details of Grand Theft Auto VI songs, radio stations and gameplay features that have not been officially announced by Rockstar Games. If you are planning to go into the game completely fresh on 19 November, or want to wait for Thursday's official reveal, stop reading here.
Dubai: For a series where the radio matters as much as the missions, the most interesting thing about the past week of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks might not be the hypercars or the six-star wanted level. It is what is playing on the car stereo.
CyberLeek has now posted eight gameplay clips, and in almost every one of them Jason is driving with the radio on. Fans on Reddit have been transcribing as they go, and outlets including RockstarINTEL and Kotaku have catalogued the results. Between the leaks and Rockstar's own trailers, there is now a rough playlist of what Vice City is going to sound like.
Two caveats before the list. This is footage from an unfinished build, so any of it can be cut. And Rockstar has confirmed none of it.
Impact – SG Lewis, Robyn & Channel Tres Heard in: the first driving clip, playing as Jason gets into the car This was the first track anyone identified, and it set the tone. Glossy, late-night house with Robyn on it. If you want a single song to represent what Vice City sounds like at 2am, this is currently the front-runner.
Unforgettable – French Montana ft. Swae Lee Heard in: the hypercar clip, playing as Jason pulls a driver out of a Truffade Thrax A 2017 hit that has aged into a permanent playlist fixture. Kotaku's writer described immediately mentally filing it under future-GTA-soundtrack, which is roughly the reaction it got everywhere.
Players – Coi Leray Heard in: the same clip, straight after Unforgettable The 2022 track built on a Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five sample. Comment sections on the music video are reportedly filling up with people who found it through the leaks, which is the GTA radio effect working before the game even exists.
Sports Car – Tate McRae Heard in: the night-time driving clip Quietly the most important song on this list, for reasons below.
Overpowered – Róisín Murphy Heard in: the plane clip, selected from the radio menu A 2007 track, which caused a brief flurry of people trying to date the build from it. That theory did not survive contact with Tate McRae.
Pound Town – Sexyy Red & Tay Keith Also in: the trailers, so this one is about as close to confirmed as it gets
For What It's Worth – Stevie Nicks Nicks covering Buffalo Springfield. Not the version most people expect.
Symphony No. 5, III. Allegro Molto – Sibelius Heard on: Symphony FM Yes, there is a classical station. Yes, someone was flying a crop duster over Leonida while it played.
Shooting Shark – Blue Öyster Cult 1984, co-written by Patti Smith, and a very deliberate choice for a game leaning this hard on the eighties.
Rhinestone Cowboy – Glen Campbell Heard on: Back Country Radio, most likely The country station is real, and it is not messing about.
Get It Poppin' – Fat Joe & Nelly Mid-2000s throwback, and a good sign the hip-hop stations are not going to be exclusively current.
Just Like Paradise – David Lee Roth More eighties. Vice City demands it.
BILLS PAID – DJ Khaled ft. Latto & City Girls Khaled has long been rumoured to be getting his own station, given the Miami connection. This is the first track of his to actually surface in footage.
These came through the first two trailers, and history says trailer tracks almost always end up on the in-game radio:
Love Is A Long Road by Tom Petty. Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters. Talkin' To Myself Again by Tammy Wynette. I Love Rock N Roll by Joan Jett. Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung. Thunder Island by Jay Ferguson. Child Support by Zenglen, the Haitian kompa band, which is the pick that tells you Rockstar has done its homework on South Florida.
The plane clip accidentally revealed the radio menu, and with it a list of station names:
CircoLoco Records Radio, Dirty South Classics, Honey FM, Back Country Radio, Emotion, ON.U, Stockyard FM, Symphony FM and V-Rock. A station tagged DNU also appeared in the wheel.
V-Rock is the significant one. It is the classic rock station from the original Vice City, and an updated V-Rock logo has already been spotted on a t-shirt Jason wears in official material.
CircoLoco Records having its own station is not a surprise either, given Rockstar's existing label partnership.
For scale: GTA 5 shipped with more than 240 songs across 17 stations, and grew from there through GTA Online.
Here is the detail that changed how people are reading these leaks.
Sports Car came out in January 2025. Its presence in the footage means the build CyberLeek is playing cannot be from the 2022 hack, which is where a lot of people initially assumed all this came from. It has to be from 2025 at the earliest.
That is bad news for Rockstar, because it confirms the leaker has something recent. It is good news for anyone building a playlist, because it means these tracks reflect a fairly late version of the soundtrack rather than placeholder music from years ago.
Panama, the Sydney electronica artist, replied to a fan on Instagram saying a 2023 track called Back to Life, made with Poolside, would be in the game. The comment was deleted quickly. Poolside have appeared on a GTA station before.
Neon Indian's Alan Palomo has hinted on his own podcast that his relationship with Rockstar is not finished. His track Polish Girl was in GTA 5.
Drake is persistently rumoured to be getting a dedicated station, in the mould of Frank Ocean's blonded Los Santos in GTA 5. Jermaine Dupri has said he was approached about the game himself and turned it down. None of this is confirmed.
Kendrick Lamar has also been floated. Treat that as speculation until somebody sees it on a radio wheel.
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix at 11pm UAE time on Thursday, 27 August, and lands on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official site at 5am on Friday. A Netflix app glitch suggested a runtime of about 30 minutes.
That is when the soundtrack stops being a fan spreadsheet and starts being an announcement. The game itself arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S on 19 November.
