Dubai: A video of some of the world’s strongest men at a press conference in Dubai has gone viral.
The video of last week’s World’s Ultimate Strongman press conference, hosted by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), has become an online rage, crossing the one million mark within days of being posted on social media platform Instagram.
The ‘World’s Ultimate Strongman at Beasts in the Middle East’ event will take place at Bab Al Shams Arena, inside the Al Marmoum Conservation Reserve, on October 26.
General Secretary of DSC, Saeed Hareb, addressed the press conference alongside some of the world’s strongest athletes at the Dubai Sports Council on July 31.
As of Wednesday, the video had garnered at least 1.003 million views on the DSC’s official Instagram account and the number is expected to keep growing.
The press conference was attended by Englishman Eddie Hall — the 2017 World’s Strongest Man and brand ambassador of World’s Ultimate Strongman — alongside Polish star Mateusz Kieliszkowski, ‘Georgian Bull’ Konstantine Janashia, Lithuanian legend Zydrunas Savickas, show-boater Iron Biby of Burkina Faso, British superstar Terry Hollands and American entertainer Robert ‘Obie’ Oberst.
The event itself should be an even greater crowd-puller given that the reigning World’s Strongest Man, Hafthor Bjornsson — famously known as ‘The Mountain’ — will be competing as well.
Organised under the auspices of the DSC, the World’s Ultimate Strongman will be the first event of its kind to be held in the Middle East.
