Oceanic triathlon series starts on October 21
Two distances on offer in each of the three events
Dubai: Over 200 triathletes are expected to take part in the first of three races of the second Oceanic Triathlon series at the Oceanic Hotel Resort and Spa in Khorfakkan on October 21.
Two distances are on offer at each of the three races catering to all ages and ability. The short course consists of an 800-metre swim followed by a 30-km cycle and a 7-km run, while the Super Sprint consists of a 375-metre swim, a 12-km cycle and a 2.5-km run.
All those taking part in the event including friends and family can stay at the resort from only Dh500 per night.
Race Director Trace Rogers said: “Excitement is building for the launch of the second series and we are confident this will once again be a successful event. We always welcome those that are new to the sport and with our Super Sprint we hope to encourage athletes of all ages and experience to take part.”
