Abu Dhabi: The Mubadala Community Football League, supported by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, kicked-off in Abu Dhabi on Sunday and will start in Al Ain later this month, continuing through until April 2019. Registration is now closed for the competition with 60 teams registering for the third edition.
Aimed at fostering community engagement and promoting healthy living, all teams will also wear the logo of the Special Olympics World Games, to be held in Abu Dhabi next year, on their jerseys.
Teams in Abu Dhabi were divided into four groups of 12. The final list for Al Ain teams is still being finalised with 20 players per team. The finals will take place at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.
