Victory ensures 21-day tour of Spain ends on a high note

Malaga: Kareem Mohammad netted late to hand du La Liga High Performance Centre’s Under-16 team a 3-2 win over La Liga Youth Champions Malaga CF at the Spanish club’s training ground on Saturday.

Malaga twice came from behind before Mohammad’s winner, which wrapped up their 21-day tour of the country.

Abdul Rahman headed in Mazloumian’s cross for du’s opener on three minutes. Malaga then equalised 10 minutes later with a chip over the head of keeper Ardakani to go in at the break all square. El Khamlichi then extended on 49 minutes before Malaga again replied nine minutes after.

Heading into the final 15 minutes, El Khamlichi then set up Mohammad for the winner.

du La Liga HPC’s Under-18s didn’t fare as well succumbing to a 1-0 defeat to Malaga. The hosts changed all 11 players at half-time in order to break the deadlock and then eventually broke through with no reply on 58 minutes.
