Dubai: City Football Club, the latest side to have launched in Dubai, will be holding a free two-day football festival at Kings’ School Al Barsha on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, for boys and girls aged 8-18.

The event from 9 to 11am each day will give aspiring players the opportunity to play alongside some of the club’s elite players as well as the chance to improve their skills at the hands of top coaches.

The trials will include four different stations over the two-days where players will be tested technically and physically.

Players will also be invited to take part in four and eight-a-side games before being given feedback on their performance.

Those accepted will be invited back to join the elite squad as of April 15.

Since the club launched earlier this year, City FC has attracted more than 400 players coached on a daily and weekly basis at Umm Suqeim Street (Al Barsha South) and Kings’ School Al Barsha.

The club also recently returned from a trip to Manchester competing in the Manchester Super Cup against clubs from around the world.

With more than 15 years coaching experience, the club’s objective is to help players achieve the highest level possible given each player’s ability. It seeks out and recruits the best UAE talent while offering pathways to its development academy through its elite squad and professional collegiate programme.

Each programme is carefully designed to help boost skills and improve overall fitness while ensuring enjoyment.
