Resolution aims to ensure safety of athletes
The Dubai Sports Council has been tasked with supervising and following up on the implementation of this resolution
Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, yesterday issued a resolution regarding the provision of security and safety services for sport activities organised in Dubai.
The first article of the resolution stipulates that all sport authorities, organisations and any other body organising sport events or providing training services, has to provide ambulances and all means of security and safety for its operations.
The resolution states that anybody that refrains from providing these services will bear full responsibility of any consequences resulting from this violation.
The Dubai Sports Council has been tasked with supervising and following up on the implementation of this resolution. The council will also develop the framework and rules regarding the regulation process, and coordinate with all relevant bodies for implementing the resolution.
The resolution aims to ensure the safety of athletes and participants in sports events, and provide them with all forms of protection, which will have a positive impact due to the fact they are valuable to the nation.
