Races consisted of 12-four kilometre rounds, and took place in the Marmoum area
Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended on Sunday the camel racing preliminary races for the Al Liqaya and Al Yitha' category.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, was also present.
The races consisted of 12-four kilometre rounds, and took place in the Marmoum area.
The races are part of a series of races that will be conducted, with the final round ending on October 18, 19, and 20 after the camels to compete for the higher ranks are chosen.
Hamad Markhan, Director of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, expressed his gratitude to Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid for his support and follow-up on events that involved the sport. He also thanked him for attending the races that took place prior to the camel racing season.
