Dubai: Young Emirati driver Mohammad Al Mutawa’a is hoping to gain maximum experience as he prepares himself for an international debut in the 2015 Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC).

Al Mutawa’a, who has been rallying under the tutelage of Shaikh Khalid Al Qasimi for the past three years, was announced as the first junior driver from the UAE to be placed as a competitor in the gruelling JWRC.

“For me this has been a huge learning curve and a dream come true. To have a driver like Shaikh Khalid showing me the tricks of the trade, I can only get better. But for the moment, my focus is to get the experience and make my country proud,” Al Mutawa’a, 24, told Gulf News on Thursday.

“So far, I have participated in various rallies and learnt a lot. But now, this is the real big moment to compete against the best in the business in my age group and I am just waiting to go out there and give it my best,” he promised.
