Paris: Team UAE Emirates' Alexander Kristoff won the final stage of the Tour de France on Sunday.

Kristoff crossed the finish line in great form to win the 21st and last stage of the 105th edition of the Tour de France cycling race between Houilles and Paris Champs-Elysees.

Britain's Geraint Thomas won his maiden Tour de France title when he retained the overall leader's yellow jersey at the end of the final sprint won by Kristoff.

Thomas, of Team Sky, beat Dutchman Tom Dumoulin of Team Sunweb by one minute 51 seconds and defending champion, compatriot and team mate Chris Froome by 2:24.

Meanwhile, Team UAE's Dan Martin was named most aggressive rider.
