Abu Dhabi: The 22nd edition of Jimmy George Memorial Ramadan Volleyball tournament will be held from June 3-8 at the floodlight courts of Emirates Heritage Club, Al Wahda. The event is being hosted by Kerala Social Centre.
The winners will walk away with UAE Exchange Rolling Trophy and cash award of Dh20,000 while the runners-up will receive the Ayoob Master Memorial Trophy plus Dh15,000.
Six teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament. They are NMC Healthcare, VPS Healthcare, Ocean King, Khan Club, Only Fresh Dubai and Subie Dubai.
Team managers have confirmed that several national and international players from different countries will be representing their teams, which gives the spectators an excellent opportunity to watch top-class action. Players from the UAE, GCC countries, India, Egypt and Lebanon are expected to take part.
Apart from the winners and runners-up trophies and awards, other individual trophies for outstanding performance will also be awarded and the Best Player of the Tournament, Best Offender, Blocker, Setter, Libro and Promising player.
