Mansour honoured for his support to camel racing

Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, has been awarded the Outstanding Organisational Committee 2013 Award in appreciation of his support for camel racing, a sport which has highlighted UAE heritage for generations.

Shaikh Mansour was conferred the award during a meeting held by the committee in Kuwait. Shaikh Mansour was presented the award by Shaikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President and Chairman of Emirates Camel Racing Association, in recognition of his efforts in promoting the sport and raising its profile.

In all, 27 entries from GCC sports committees were reviewed before the winner was selected based on the candidates’ scale of contributions and role in promoting camel racing in the GCC.
