UAE’s Al Mazroui rides Descarado to victory in World Championship for Young Horses

120-km event sponsored by HH Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival

Dubai: Saif Ahmad Al Mazroui, riding the grey gelding Descarado, won the HH Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival-sponsored FEI World Championship for Young Horses at the Italian Endurance Festival 2015 in Verona, Italy on Saturday.

Al Mazroui and Descarado led from start to finish to win the 120-km event in which 73 horses started.

The winning pair completed the course in 5 hours 26 minutes and 56 seconds at an average time of 22.02km/h.

Descarado represents the MRM Stables and is trained by multiple championship winning endurance handler Esmail Mohammad.
