Opinion Poll will be hard to beat, as he has a rematch with stable companion Fox Hunt, in a race that will suit Opinion Poll best.

Frankie Dettori, who rode Fox Hunt when he beat Opinion Poll last time, has switched to Opinion Poll. Opinion Poll was one of the best stayers in England last year, when he won two big events over this distance and ran second twice behind the champion Fame And Glory. Fox Hunt beat him by 2 ½ lengths in the Nad Al Sheba Trophy (G3). Whereas Fox Hunt had already won at the Carnival, it was Opinion Poll's first start for almost five months and he needed the race.

A stronger pace will also help him on Saturday, when he meets Fox Hunt on slightly better weight terms.

Kasbah Bliss, now ten, has been a remarkable servant to the game over the years. Also effective over shorter distances, he is one of the best stayers in France.

He won the 2011 recent edition of the Prix du Cadran (G1) at Longchamp, one of the most prestigious staying races in Europe. He was well beaten behind Fox Hunt in the Nad Al Sheba Trophy (G3) but don't for a moment believe his run there represents his true form. He will have improved and might be a big danger here.

Joshua Tree has been below form in three starts this year but he is also capable of smart form, having finished second to Sarah Lynx in the Canadian International (G1) at Woodbine last year.

Mikhail Glinka was a surprise winner of the Dubai City Of Gold (G3) over 2400 metres on Super Saturday, when he led virtually throughout and ran on gamely to hold Cavalryman by a length.

He may have been favoured by getting an easy lead in that race but note that this son of Galileo won the Queen's Vase (G3) over 2 miles at Royal Ascot as a three-year-old.

He stays well, and he is in top form.

Grand Vent, beaten just a nose in a G2 event in France last spring, is a potential improver who could spring a surprise.
