Dubai: Meydan on Tuesday conducted a preview of the iconic Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse to over 70 press representatives from 30 leading international and regional media hailing as far as China.

Media persons were given a first-ever tour of the racecourse and hospitality facilities such as the Parade Ring, and the Grandstand Corporate Suites.

The Meydan Media Tour is part of a strategic effort to update the public on the facilities that are available at the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse, which will be inaugurated by the opening of Dubai’s 2010 racing season which starts January 28.

Spanning a length of 1.6km and able to accommodate over 60,000 racegoers, the Meydan Grandstand boasts a variety of facilities ranging from The Meydan, the world’s first five-star trackside hotel, the Meydan Museum and Gallery, an IMAX theatre to the luxurious Grandstand Corporate Suites for corporate and private entertainment, making it an ideal venue not only for enjoying the races, but also a unique location for hosting corporate activities such as meetings, incentive trips, conferences and exhibitions.
