Dubai: The Dubai Arabian Horse Stud demonstrated why they are recognised as one of the world’s most successful Straight Egyptian and Purebred horse farms in the world when the handsome D Ajayeb was crown Champion Junior Filly at the $4 million Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC) on Saturday.

The state-of-the-art stud continues to roll out champion after champion, as evidenced by their performances at the prestigious three-day event held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The DIAHC, which was first held in 2004 to celebrate the beauty of the Arabian horses, featured only the best show horses in the world and D Ajayed was right up there with the cream of the crop.

Judges did not need too much convincing to award the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud’s young flag-bearer a high score of 33,0 points, which secured for him a valuable gold.

Seranza won silver and Aj Norah, the bronze.

D Ajayeb a majestic grey by RFI Farid, was bred in 2015 and is owned by the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud.

The Junior Fillies Class was one of six Championship events held before a packed audience at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

In attendance were His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance.

The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships (DIAHC) is the most prestigious show in the Middle East and is run under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan. The show is a favourite with many Purebred Arabian fans around the world.

Meanwhile, Ajman Stud collected two trophies after Aj Banafsaj won the Yearling Fillies gold and AJ Kafu the Junior Colts title.

While the judges were overwhelmed by the conformation and movement of Aj Banafsaj and had no hesitation in awarding him the gold medal, there deliberated a lot before giving Aj Kafu a score of 32 points to narrowly prevail over D Seraj, with a score of 28.

The Senior Stallion Championship was won by E.S. Harir, representing the Al Saqran Arabian Horse Stud. The handsome grey was bred by Shaikh Abdulla Bin Majid Al Qasimi in 2011.
