Jockey William Buick hurt in incident in Dubai nightclub
Broken jaw the result of 'unprovoked attack' likely to put out jockey for the rest of season

Dubai Jockey William Buick looks likely to be ruled out for the rest of the UAE racing season after suffering a broken jaw in a nightclub incident in Dubai earlier this week.
Buick was reportedly the victim of a vicious ‘unprovoked' attack in a club, which he and some fellow jockeys had gone to visit following a send-off party thrown by Frankie Dettori in honour of retiring colleague Richard Hills.

'Unprovoked'
Norwegian-born Buick is retained by the Jebel Ali Stables, who it is believed will instead use the services of James Doyle and Kieren Fallon for the rest of the season.
Walter Buick, William's father, told British newspapers what happened in the nightclub was a "totally unprovoked attack" on his son.
"It seems like he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time," he was quoted saying. However, Buick is no stranger to misfortune.
Concussion
Last season he narrowly escaped serious injury after suffering back-to-back falls at Meydan racecourse.
He was shaken-up in the first fall on the Tapeta, but his luck ran out in the second when he was knocked unconscious.
He suffered concussion and was admitted to Rashid Hospital, where he spent the New Year before flying back to the UK for follow-up treatment.
