Dubai: Godolphin, the world’s biggest horse racing stable, are prepping to recruit a new batch of students for the 2018 Masar curriculum.

Masar Godolphin is an academic scholarship operating under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which will provide UAE nationals with a unique opportunity to embrace their equestrian heritage with the aim of becoming the business leaders of the future.

In tandem with the development of their equine knowledge and skills, trainees will be given the opportunity to visit some of the UK’s leading sporting and professional organisations in the pursuit of developing their leadership, management and teamwork skills.

Places on this prestigious programme will be offered to eight Emiratis aged between 20 and 30, who demonstrate a genuine passion for equestrianism, and who have the ambition and commitment to develop both personally and professionally.

Hugh Anderson, Managing Director for Godolphin in the UK and Dubai, said: “The course will run over 10 months, in Dubai, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and include a mix of both academic and practical modules, plus placements with some of the world’s most prestigious equestrian organisations.

“Masar Godolphin is a very special programme which represents yet another demonstration of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad’s enduring passion for horse breeding and racing, and his continued commitment to the creation of a sustainable future for both the industry and the individuals involved in it.”

Ali Al Ali, Head of Masar Godolphin, commented: “Godolphin has always been Dubai’s Home Team, and as an Emirati I could not be prouder to help launch the search for eight outstanding and ambitious, young Emirati men and women to become part of the 2018 Masar programme.

“The love of horses is in the DNA of Dubai and this is an extremely exciting time to be involved in thoroughbred horse breeding and racing and thanks to the ongoing support and guidance of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad, we are privileged to be able to extend this opportunity to the next generation of Emiratis”.
