West Coast was drawn on the outside in Gate 9 out on 10 for the $10 million spectacle at the official post-position selection in Dubai on Wednesday.

Dubai: Bob Baffert’s favourite for the Dubai World Cup has been given a less-than-favourable draw for Saturday’s big race.
West Coast was drawn on the outside in Gate 9 out on 10 for the $10 million spectacle at the official post-position selection in Dubai on Wednesday.
“I hope for some good luck and a good break to overcome the draw,” said Baffert.
Dallas Stewart’s mare Forever Unbridled will start from the middle of the pack in Gate 6, and he said: “The draw won’t affect the performance. That post position is fine.”
Sateesh Seemar’s North America was drawn in Gate 2 and Saeed Bin Surour’s Thunder Snow got possibly the worst draw of the lot in Gate 10.
