With Tiger Woods making an eagerly awaited return to PGA Tour action with a one over par 72 at the Genesis Invitational yesterday, let’s take a look at what the former World No.1 currently has in his bag.

The 15-time Major champion had predominantly used Nike clubs for the majority of his career, but joined the TaylorMade stable in 2017 after the sportswear and equipment giant decided to get out of the hard goods part of the golf business.

Since then, he has regularly switched models of the brand for the newest one, but what weapons of choice has he opted for this week in Los Angeles?

Driver: TaylorMade Qi10 LS, Graphite Design Tour AD-VF shaft

TaylorMade’s newest driver model hit the USGA Conforming Clubs List in November last year, with fellow TaylorMade staffers Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood putting the driver into play at the 2023 DP World Tour Championship. Woods quickly followed suit, upgrading to the model at the 2023 Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, having previously used the Stealth Plus driver which was released in 2022.

Three wood: TaylorMade Qi10 Tour (15 degrees at 14.25), Graphite Design Tour AD-VF 7X shaft

This club is making its debut in Woods’ bag this week at Riviera Country Club, replacing his TaylorMade SIM Ti 3-wood, which was released four years ago. “The [Qi10 Tour] 3-wood is in play,” Woods said. “I feel very comfortable with the 3-wood. I had to find the right shaft for it and decided to switch the shafts and go with what I have on my driver. My 5-wood is different, it’s old, a little beat up, but it still works. But the 3-wood, I wanted to find something I could draw a little bit better and this one is definitely that.”

Despite being a “little beat up” Tiger continues to play the TaylorMade M3, which dates back to 2018. Woods had this club in the bag the last time he won a Major Championship at the 2019 Masters Tournament.

Irons: TaylorMade P770 (2-3), TaylorMade P7TW (4-PW), True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts

“Each iron has been meticulously shaped to meet Tiger's discerning eye—longer blade length, thinner topline, progressive face height and more” reads TaylorMade’s website to describe Woods’ P7TW irons. Despite the clubs being specifically designed for Woods, hence the TW, many Tour pros have them in the bag, including Dubai resident Tommy Fleetwood.

Wedges: TaylorMade MG4, 56˚ and 60˚, True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts

The tried and tested MG4 is another Tiger special, with the unique grind on each sole designed by Woods himself.

Putter: Titleist Scotty Cameron GSS Newport 2

Arguably the most iconic piece of equipment in the game’s history, Woods continues to play his custom Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS (German Stainless Steel) putter, which he first put in play in 1999. The club has been in the bag for 14 of his 15 Major Championship victories.

Ball: Bridgestone Tour B X 2024

Making its first outing in a competitive start for Woods this week is the Bridgestone Tour B X 2024 ball. He had previously been using the prior iteration of the ball after swapping from the B XS version in 2022. He made the switch to the X version after discovering he was getting “nearly 10 yards of extra carry with this ball.”
