Paul Casey will make his first DP World Tour start since leaving the circuit for LIV Golf in 2022 when he tees it up at the Porsche Singapore Classic next week.

The Englishman, who won the Dubai Desert Classic in 2021, has received a sponsor’s invite into the event, with the Englishman enjoying a strong relationship with Porsche after becoming a brand ambassador for the car manufacturer in 2020.

The former Ryder Cupper hasn’t won a professional event since that triumph at Emirates Golf Club but has started 2024 in fine form with two top-10 finishes from the opening four events on the LIV Golf League, including a tie for second at last week’s inaugural event in Hong Kong.

Casey will be joined by 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry, Japan’s Rikuya Hoshino, who won his maiden DP World Tour title at last month’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, who will tee it up on the DP World Tour for the first time since becoming a PGA TOUR winner earlier this year.

Asian stars Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Gavin Green and Li Haotong are also in the field and Singapore will be represented by three golfers – Nicklaus Chiam, Joshua Yap and amateur Irvyn Tan qualified for the US$2,500,000 event at Laguna National Golf Resort Club.
