
Oman’s Azzan Al Rumhy is the leader through 36 holes in the Oman Amateur Series at Ghala Golf Club in Muscat, Oman.
Starting the day in a tie for third and three shots off the leaders, the 39-year-old from Ghala Golf Club carded a two over 74 in Friday’s round.
Al Rumhy is two shots clear from his nearest competitiors, fellow Omani Ahmed Al Wahaibi, Pakistan’s Navaid Ahmed and overnight leader Ruwan Jayasinghe from Sri Lanka.
Badar Al Amri is a further shot back as he sits in a tie for fifth alongside Nasser Yacoob from Bahrain.

The Oman Amateur Series is in association with the Oman Golf Association (OGA) and The R&A. The OGA is organising more World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) events to create playing opportunities for the Omani and Oman based amateurs. As the elite game in the region grows, having WAGR status is becoming key in creating playing opportunities.
In the Net Division American Timothy Lang remains at the top of the leaderboard after a level par net 72. Five birdies, five bogeys and eight pars see him sitting at five under with one round remaining.
He is two shots ahead of Scotland’s Andrew Moore in second place after rounds of net 71, 70. And the closest local competitor is Mohib Al Kathiri in third just one further shot back after his second round net 67.
