Dubai: Dubai-based Nico Colsaerts, an Aviv Ambassador, is ready to tackle the rigours of the professional golf and will return to the DP World Tourin the next couple of weeks after recovering from a health scare in the last couple of months. Now, I am feeling almost bullet proof, said the 39-year-old Belgian professional. And helping him in the recovery is the Aviv Clinics in Dubai, where Mike Frayne, CEO of Aviv Clinics Dubai, talks about how the Aviv medical improvement programme can have a positive impact for golfers.
Colsaerts and Frayne spoke about the return during the recent Aviv TOPGOLF Dubai function at Emirates Golf Club. Excerpts from the interview:
Nico, it is time for you go back on the DP World Tour, how are you feeling?
Nico Colsaerts: My health is good, thanks to my friends at Aviv Clinics Dubai. I am sleeping so much better and am happy where I am; physically, mentally and emotionally. I have missed my friends on Tour. I have had time to reflect and am ready to go again. I have been reasonably fit all my life as an elite athlete and this is the first time I have had a enforced break in over 25 years. I am excited and ready to tackle to beast that is professional golf on the DP World Tour. My first tournament back on the DP World Tour is the Cazoo Open, at Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, beginning on August 4, in less than a couple of week’s time.
Tell us a bit more about you being an Aviv Ambassador?
Nico Colsaerts: I am very proud to be an Aviv Ambassador. Aviv Clinics Dubai have been beyond helpful over the last couple months during my health scare with my kidney disease. I found them all to be very professional and, without exception, all very helpful. I came to Aviv Clinics Dubai a few months ago, completely broken, now I am feeling almost bullet proof and I am hugely grateful that I crossed paths with Aviv Clinics. I wear the Aviv logo on my shirt and will spread the message of Aviv Clinics when I play in Pro-Ams and share my story with fellow Pros and other people I meet and connect with, because I am sure many of these friends maybe interested in and benefit from the Aviv medical programme.
What has tonight all been about?
Mike Frayne: Firstly, it is great to see Nico looking so healthy and fit tonight at TOPGOLF Dubai. Networking with existing and potential clients with our Aviv Ambassador Nico and using golf and TOPGOLF Dubai as a platform is what tonight is all about. We have enjoyed hearing all about Nico’s golfing journey on Tour, playing golf in the Olympics as well as being part of some team golf events, including: the Seve Trophy, World Cup of Golf, Royal Trophy and of course, The 2012 Ryder Cup with the ‘Miracle at Medinah.’ We will certainly be repeating this event model moving forward. It has been a Win: Win for us all.
How are your Aviv Programmes appropriate for golfers?
