Dubai based Jeev Milkha Singh (Ind) won the recent Japan PGA Senior Tour Qualifying School to gain the number one Qualifying School card for the forthcoming season.

51 year-old Jeev, who turned 50 in December 2021, shot rounds of 71, 67 and 72 over the Ibusuki Golf Club (Par 72, 6946 Yards) for a five under par 54 hole total and a two shot victory.

Jeev told Gulf News, ‘On the first two days it was windy and then on the final day it was cold and rainy. I am so proud to get this win across the line.

‘This win gives me my full playing rights on the Japan Senior Tour and strengthen my playing opportunities moving forward. My 2023 schedule this year will see me focussing on the Legends Tour in Europe, which I will play in for the first two weeks of April. I will then play in Vietnam on the Asian Tour and then on to the Japan Senior Tour. I also plan to visit the US to try my hand on the Champions Tour when I am either exempt, receive invites or qualify.’

10 cards for the Japan Senior Tour were available at this week’s Qualifying School.
