Ewen Ferguson (Scotland) shot a final round one under par 69 for a wire-to-wire victory in the 2022 ISPS Handa World Invitational presented by Aviv Clinics at Galgorm Castle Golf Club on the DP World Tour.

This is Ferguson’s second victory of the season having previously won the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters held at Doha Golf Club, Qatar, in March.

This week’s event in Northern Ireland was tri-sanctioned by the DP World Tour, Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour, with separate male and female tournaments being played on the same two courses at the same time and for two equal prize funds of $1.5million each.

Two bogeys

The 26 year-old Scotsman had a steady final round of two birdies and two bogeys in a front nine of 34, a birdie on 10, and that was followed by eight straight pars for a three shot victory.

In the LET / LPGA Division Swede Maja Stark took control of the tournament with a final round of 63, to win by five shots from Allison Corpuz (US).

38 players competed in the final round on the DP World Tour and 39 in the LET and LPGA Division after the third round cut.
