Dubai-based Chiara Noja (Ger) shot a second-round level par 72, for a two-round score of 145, one over par, in the 54 hole €42,500 Montauban Ladies Open at Golf De Montauban in France on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS).

Chiara followed her first round 73 with a par, birdie and bogey start on holes 1, 2 and 3, and then 15 straight pars to sign for her level par round over the 6,250 yards par 72 course, to be tied 19th with 18 holes to play.

Last year’s tournament winning score was 7 under par with only five players in the field beating the par of 216.

No momentum

This week, so far, 13 players are under par after two rounds. 16-year-old Chiara played in this tournament over the same course last year in her first LETAS tournament as an amateur, where she finished tied 21st with rounds of 75, 72 and 73 (four over par).

After her round today (Saturday) Chiara said, “I just couldn’t get any momentum to my round today. I just seemed to plod along all day, just waiting for a putt to drop, but it never came,” summarised Chiara.

With one round to go, Chiara is seven shots behind the leader and four shots behind fifth place.
