Dubai: Dubai-based Chiara Noja shot a second consecutive one under par round of 71 in the €40,000 Golf Vlaanderen LETAS Trophy at Millennium Golf in Belgium on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS).

The 16-year-old German lies tied fourth in this week’s 54-hole event and is six shots behind the leader with the second place on seven under par, the two runaway leaders.

Feeling better from rib injury

Starting on hole 10 in this two-tee start, Chiara parred her first nine holes and had three birdies and two bogeys on her back nine over the 5,466-metres, par 72 layout.

“My rib injury from last week is feeling so much better. It does not restrict me in my golf swing as it was a non-golf related injury. I just have to make sure I do not aggravate it, so it does not become long-term. It is just annoying that after no practice or any golf for over a week, I am straight into tournament golf, Chiara told Gulf News after her round.

Satisfying effort

“Tied fourth going into tomorrow’s final round is very satisfying with everything considered. Let’s see if I can push things a little more and see where it takes me,” concluded a positive Chiara.

Chiara’s tee time for tomorrow’s final round is in the penultimate match of the day at 9.54am with the leaders out last at 10.05am (Belgium time).
