Today I am flying out to Thailand for the $1 million ARAMCO Team Series – Bangkok on the Ladies’ European Tour.

The 54-hole, three day tournament runs from Thursday 12th – Saturday 14th May, so I will be there very early to acclimatise, practise at the Thai Country Club, this week’s venue, and adjust to the conditions.

I have played in one ARAMCO Team Series before in Jeddah at the end of last year, and have heard a lot of good stuff from all the players about the Series taking place around the world.

I understand that for this year, there has been in update on the format, with the team event being played over the first two rounds with an amateur and three pros, then a cut and the final shoot out on the final day for pros only.

More on this week’s format, the Draft and so much more, later in the week.

My last two events have been, firstly, in Saudi in March, for the Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented By Public Investment Fund, where I finished tied 13th with a one over par total for four rounds, and then I went and played on the LET Access Tour in Terre Blanche and lost in a play-off.

Gym work

Since then, I have been doing some school studying, gym work as well as practising at Jumeirah Golf Estates and working with my various coaches in all areas of my game.

My dad will be with me in Thailand caddying for me.

I appreciate and must say thank you for the invite from Golf Saudi and the organisers to play in this week’s Thailand event and I am hoping to play in all the ARAMCO Series events later in the season: in the UK (Centurion Club, London), Spain (La Reserva Club De Sotogrande), USA (New York) and Saudi (Royal Greens Golf & Country Club).

After Thailand I am planning to play an LET Access Tour event in Sweden and then I will review my schedule for the season.

I have also agreed to do a Gulf News Daily Diary this week from Thailand, so I look forward to speaking to you all later in the week.
