Stars from women’s golf are all set to tee up in Jeddah this week at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in the latest Aramco Team Series Presented by Public Investment Fund tournament, which is taking place from November 10th – 12th.
Golfers, sports enthusiasts and families that just enjoy a great day out will be able to watch some of the best players in ladies’ golf at the $1m Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series Jeddah tournament, which showcases a unique format combining individual and team events.
Two of the game’s best have confirmed their attendance to appear in Jeddah in British stars Charley Hull and Georgia Hall. Hull is currently ranked number 18 in the world and heads into the final Aramco Team Series event in scintillating form after winning her latest LPGA title at the Ascendant in Texas. Hall will return to a venue where she has had recent success after claiming a stunning five shot victory at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International in March and sits at number 27 in the world rankings.
2022 winner
Bronte Law, the Aramco Team Series London 2022 individual winner will also feature, and she will be joined by Olivia Cowan, Anne Van Dam, Annabel Dimmock and Marianne Skarpnord, among others. Slovenian superstar, Pia Babnik, will return to Royal Greens Golf and Country Club where she will be aiming to defend the individual title, she won in 2021.
In addition Dubai based Chiara Noja and Kristyna Napoleaova are both in the field.
The Aramco Team Series team event runs alongside an individuals’ tournament, so there are two gripping narratives to follow. The team competition takes place over the opening 36 holes and sees a captain select a player at a pre-event draft where she’s also allocated another professional and an amateur. The best two scores per hole count in the race to land the top prize from a total prize fund of $500,000. A further $500,000 is up for grabs in the individuals’ tournament, which runs concurrently and concludes on the third and final day. This innovative format has led to some thrilling golf, including at the latest Aramco Team Series tournament in New York where amateur Jennifer Rosenberg helped Team Gustavsson win the title. Rosenberg qualified to appear as a Championship amateur through the Saturday pre-qualifying tournament, beating off competition from some of the best golfers from across New York and beyond to take part.
