Dubai: Dubai-based Kristyna Napoleaova, playing in her home Open, will be one of the star attractions in this week’s €200,000 Tipsport Czech Ladies Open to be held from Friday to Sunday at Royal Beroun Golf Club.

Kristyna said: “I am so excited to be home and playing this week, it is always special to play in front of your family and friends. I am, hopefully, getting some momentum with my game following a better week at Centurion Club at the recent Aramco Team Series — London.

“My coach Jamie McConnell from the CH3 Performance Golf Academy at The Els Club, Dubai, is here in the Czech Republic, to just check my swing basics. I have played in this event twice before — once as an amateur and a pro — where I made the cut in 2021. I know the golf course and I am excited to see 16 Czech players in the field. This will never have happened in a ladies’ professional event of this stature before.

“I also see that I am the headline article with my picture on the LET website in their preview coverage, which I am very proud of,” said Kristyna.

The tournament has an impressive list of former champions with last year’s winner Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand now fifth in the Rolex Women’s Rankings and 2020 champion Emily Kristine Pedersen of Denmark now 90th in the Official World Rankings.

The winning score over the last two years has been 15 under and 17 under par over the 6,225 yards par-72 course.
