UAE transfer window yet to reopen

Dubai: The UAE FA and UFL are still awaiting Fifa approval to reopen the now closed transfer window by a month leading to confusion over its duration.

In keeping with UFL CEO Carlo Nohra's aspirations to bolster local talent by allowing foreign youngsters in every tier of play at local clubs, the UFL have asked for two additional foreigners under the age of 21 to be granted access to a club's Challenge League reserve side.

The proposal of two foreign U21s (as of January 1, 2010) in reserve has been agreed in principle, provided they haven't represented their national team in any form.
