Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Vice President of the UAE FA, to lead Pro League Committee
Abu Dhabi: Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Vice President of the UAE FA, will be the new Chairman of the Pro League Committee (PLC), which organises and supervises the country's top league competition.
This was decided on Monday in the first meeting of the new FA Board of Directors, headed by new permanent President Yousuf Al Sarkal and attended by all the members who were elected last week.
Obaid Al Shamsi, the other Vice President, will head the Technical Committee in charge of the national teams, while Mohammad Abdul Aziz will lead the Competitions Committee, Mohammad Haji Khory will be in charge of the Financial Committee, former Fifa referee Mohammad Omar will chair the Referees Committee, Nasir Al Yamahi will head the Players Transfer Committee and Yousuf Khory will head up the Marketing Committee.
A new Clubs Affairs Committee was formed to strengthen the communication between the clubs and the FA and will be headed by Ghanim Ahmad Ghanim.
Meanwhile, the FA decided to allocate Dh2 million for the preparations of the country's Olympic team ahead of the London Games this summer.

"We are also grateful for all those who worked pn the board of the FA before us, especially the former President Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi, for their efforts and hard work. We are optimistic at the beginning of a new era and we hope to achieve progress and improvement to the country's game."
