Hebron School, a 106- year-old international institution from southern India, will tour the UAE from November 27.

The school is sending its under-19 soccer team to play matches against St Mary's School, Dubai Scholars, Abu Dhabi Cambridge School and Al Ain English Speaking School.

The Hebron School under-19 team are the runners-up in the English speaking schools' tournament in 2004 and 2005.

Dubai connection

The 16-member squad has players from India, Nepal, South Korea, Australia and the United Kingdom. Dubai-born Raphael Rayees, who studied at Modern High School up to the seventh grade, is also in the squad.

"I visit Dubai during the breaks, but this is the first time I am coming to Dubai to play soccer. This is my sixth year in a boarding school and the final year of my school life. I consider this trip as a gift from my school," remarked Rayees.
