Chris Gayle backs Cristiano Ronaldo to win Champions League for Real Madrid

New Delhi: West Indian hard-hitting batsman Chris Gayle, an ardent fan of Real Madrid, has backed fellow sporting superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to fire Los Blancos to Champions League glory.

Real take on Serie A giants Juventus in Cardiff on June 3 in the final as they chase their 12th European Cup and Gayle has no doubt who the match-winners will be for Zinedine Zidane’s side.

“CR7 [Ronaldo] will definitely click in the final and so will Isco,” said Gayle.

The left-handed batsman added of Ronaldo’s quarter-final and semi-final Champions League hat-trick heroics: “It would be nice if he will finish like that [hat-trick] in the final.

“I love Real Madrid straight and its 100 per cent without saying. Its a great team and I am supporting it.”
