Brazil confirms Argentina friendly in China

Rio de Janeiro: Brazil will meet rivals Argentina in an October friendly at the Beijing National Stadium in China’s capital.

The teams will vie for the Superclassico das Americas Trophy at the 2008 Olympic venue, according to Brazil’s football confederation Thursday, reports Xinhua.

It will be the Selecao’s second encounter at the venue in less than 12 months after their 2-0 victory over Zambia there last October.

The October 11 fixture is Brazil’s first match scheduled after the World Cup, to be played from June 12 to July 13.
